Akin Koksal is an engineer and artist experienced in design and manufacturing of electro-mechanical devices.
He depicts his observations as a scientist and engineer as digital artworks. He designs infrastructures to create abstract images from laser reflections. He also designs structures for art installations, and creates 3D art using found objects.
For Akin, art is an answer to ancient existentialist questions. With his art works, he wants to invoke novel feelings by using new techniques such as creating digital abstract forms of laser interferograms. Laser interferograms are images of light reflections from specially designed micro structures. Due to the wave property of light, the light reflections interfere with each other creating superposition of waves.
He is also the co-founder of a design company that challenges science and technology problems.
